As part of our ongoing growth and evolution we have partnered with Pro Aviation Safety Training Ltd. Moving forward, Pro Aviation will be running the BCGA Survival Shakedown in addition to its own Underwater Egress, EUBA and Wilderness Survival programs.
BCGA Members will be eligible for a discount on Pro Aviation offerings and as part of the agreement Pro Aviation will run two exclusive BCGA training events per year for 20 pilots each consisting of any combination of Survival or Egress training as demand dictates. In staying with the BCGA philosophy of providing value to members Pro Aviation has agreed to run these two events at cost which will be comparable to the current BCGA course pricing. All BCGA exclusive courses with Pro Aviation will also double as fundraising events for various local volunteer search and rescue teams.
This partnership speaks to the strength of the BCGA, its members and its initiatives and brings a new level of training to the membership.
For those that have participated in the Survival Shakedown, the Pro Aviation course will closely resemble the Shakedown and will still be instructed by lead BCGA & Pro Aviation Instructor Shaun Glass, retired Canadian Forces Search and Rescue Technician. The BCGA is optimistic that this partnership will being increased value to its members and looks forward to a long and productive relationship with the team at Pro Aviation.
Megan Leach of Pro Aviation says, "It is our great pleasure to enter into our agreement with the British Columbia General Aviation Association in running the survival course. It is our sincere hope that this agreement will mutually benefit both of our organizations and the local general aviation as a whole."
