Redfern river is up north just south of Prophet River and the Yukon border, along the Alaska Highway. I looked on GE and this may be it.

I have been to Red Fern many times and this strip is not at Red Fern. There are no strips there the only way to get there is on floats. Red Fern is a long ways south of the Yukon Border. It is about halfway between Ft St John and Ft Nelson east of Bucking Horse about 70 km. There are no roads in the area.
There is a strip close to Redfern. Could probably hike in.
I think it might be this strip near Tetachuck Lake. It looks like the shoe might fit.
I believe it might be the Keily bush strip located within Redfern Park

Red fern strip is at the headwaters of the Halfway River. It is about 3-4 miles from Redfern Lake.Used to be a mine there. There should be some remains of a Beaver on the shore of Redfern. It crashed carrying fuel to the mine.Hit lake in downdraft so severe that the 4 barrels of fuel went thru the aircraft fusalage.Pilot was I believe a Mr Davis from Ft.St.James
