What year did you start flying?
2017(experienced flying as a passenger); 2018(Glider Pilot Scholarship Course)

Where did you learn to fly?
Debert Cadet Flight Training Center(Glider); Canadian Flight Centre(Power)

Why did you start flying?
My dad wanted to become a pilot and this gave me an interest in the aviation world. As a new immigrant, there was a lot of adversity that one teenager can face but what kept me going was my passion for flying. After flying in a glider and a tow plane. I knew this was what I wanted to do for a living. I am the first glider pilot in our family and in a few weeks, a fully licensed private pilot through the air cadet program

What airplane did you learn to fly in?
Schweizer SGS 2-33A(Glider); Cessna 152(Power)

What airplane do you fly now?
Schweizer SGS 2-33A, Cessna 152

What is your favorite kind of flying or place to fly to?
I enjoy the peace while flying in a glider but I also enjoy flying in a powered aircraft. I'm hoping that once I finish power, I will get to fly my dad to Victoria, BC as we both have never been there before.

What is your favorite feature on the BCGA website?
The stories and experiences of the BCGA members

In a few words describe what the BCGA is to you:
BCGA is a community of pilots in BC that makes general aviation in BC better.

What other aviation organizations / clubs are you affiliated with?
Royal Canadian Air Cadets - Air Cadet Gliding Program

What is your favorite quote?
(Grand-uncle told me in Filipino language)"Pag gusto, may paraan, pag hindi, madaming dahilan" translation to english, "if you want it, there's a way; If you don't, you'll have lots of excuses"

Other interests:
Fitness

Anything else you would like to share with your fellow members:
I will forever be grateful for the Air Cadet program for giving me such an opportunity, a headstart in aviation at a young age. Before receiving my Canadian citizenship, I will be a fully licensed private pilot all due to the air cadets. This is why I am motivated to help out in the program by volunteering with the gliding operations as it does not only help Canadians but also immigrants. This gives hope to the young generation and builds up their future as better citizens which in return helps our economy to even grow further.

PS. check out my Instagram as I will post my PPL flight training there(July-August) as well as other cool stuff!

I don't understand what's happening to me. I feel I must have been eating something I am allergic to. I am not sure if it's some herb or a pill that's supposed to make me stronger but made me sleepy instead. I wanted to eat something different but it's so difficult to find what we are looking for where I live right now. I am staying in a rural area and it's a little different from the usual rural setting I am used to. They don't have city halls and churches. I think it's such a small town.
