Nav Canada Vancouver Area Control Centre Tour (Surrey, BC)

The Nav Canada Area Control Centre in Surrey, BC is the center of operations for all radar Air Traffic Control in BC. If you have ever talked to Vancouver Centre, Vancouver Terminal or Victoria Terminal then you have talked to controllers inside the Vancouver ACC. The ACC is also the centre of all ATC training and technical operations for the Pacific Region. We are also in the process of arranging tours of the towers at YVR, YYJ, ZBB & YXX.

Who:
All BCGA members registered before November 16th, 2017 are eligible for this tour. There are only 10 spots available and preference will be given to those that have not visited the ACC before. These tours are always very popular. Please refrain from signing up unless you are committed to attending.

What:
The tour will start with a short presentation about Nav Canada and an explanation of the local airspace. There will be an opportunity for pilots to ask all their ATC/Airspace related questions.  We will then tour the building including the simulators and the operations floor where all the magic happens.
