YVR Control Tower Tour – B.C. General Aviation Association (BCGA)

Nav Canada Vancouver International Airport Control Tower Tour
(TOUR FULL! IN UNDER 10 MIN, ALL SUBSEQUENT REGISTRATIONS WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITLIST)

The Nav Canada Control Tower at the Vancouver International Airport is the center of operations at Canada’s second busiest airport. We are pleased to have the opportunity to have been given two tour dates for our members to see the operation from behind the scenes. 

When:
Tuesday February 27th, 2018
1900 – 2000 lcl

Sunday March 11th, 2018
​1500-1600 lcl

Where:
Nav Canada Control Tower
Vancouver International Airport
(Exact meeting place will be provided to confirmed participants)

Who:
All BCGA members registered before February 20th, 2017 are eligible for this tour. There are only 10 spots available for each tour date and preference will be given to those that have not visited the YVR Tower before. These tours are always very popular. Please refrain from signing up unless you are committed to attending.

What:
The tour attendees will meet on time at the entrance to the Control tower and will be escorted upstairs where they will be taken to the tower cab 5 at a time and have to opportunity to ask questions and have some of the equipment explained while seeing the airport from a vantage point that very few ever experience.

Note:
– There is no video or audio recording permitted in the Tower Cab.
– Participants must have RSVP’d and received a confirmation
– Participants must be on time. Its a long way to the top of the tower and everyone needs to go up together.
